Dr. P D Vithalani - Dean

Education and Qualifications of M.S ENT

Born on 26th September 1954, entered M P Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar as medical student in 1972 and became medical graduate in 1978. Further he also pursued MS (ENT) in 1981 from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad.

With his keen interest in the field of Medical Education, he joined Medical College Vadodara in 1982 as Assistant Professor in ENT and became Professor and Head of ENT Department at M P Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in 1988. He also contributed as Medical Superintendent and Dean at M P Shah Medical College, Jamnagar from 2000 to 2008. During his affiliation at M P Shah Medical College, Jamnagar he guided plenty of MS (ENT) students who are successful ENT Surgeon across the nation today.

In addition he has honored to be promoted as Deputy Director of Medical Education, Gujarat State from 2008. He was appointed as Additional Director of Medical Education in 2010 by direct selection through Gujarat Public Service Commission & served Gujarat State till 2016 (till the date of superannuation).

From 2017 to 2020, he served as Dean of Shantabaa Medical College, Amreli-Gujarat; which is established under PPP with Government of Gujarat in accordance with Health Policy-2016.

In 2022 Umiya Mata Kadva Patidar Education And Samaj Seva Trust shouldered him responsibility as Dean of a new medical college that is Ananya College of Medicine & Research, Kalol (North Gujarat); which is to be established in accordance with Health Policy of State Government of Gujarat.

He is a man of hard work and follows through with his commitments. He believes that friends, faculty members, guider, elders, mentors and advisors have not loved him but considered him capable of doing what they wanted to accomplished. They made him responsible for doing his best and helped him continuously.
